MAPLERIDGE
KITCHEN
This kitchen transformation focused on balancing aesthetic individuality with practical upgrades. From soft green cabinetry to terrazzo-inspired surfaces and curated lighting, every detail was chosen to reflect the client’s modern yet nostalgic style.
Project Description
Nestled in a quiet Dallas neighborhood, the Mapleridge Kitchen project breathed new life into a dated space through a thoughtful remodel centered on function, warmth, and mid-century modern elegance. The homeowner envisioned a space perfect for entertaining friends and family — one that felt both timeless and personal, with bold design statements and practical upgrades woven together seamlessly.
The Vision
The client wanted a midcentury modern kitchen that felt bright, open, and welcoming — a space that could function effortlessly for family gatherings and weekend entertaining. The original kitchen layout was closed off, dark, and lacked storage. The goal was to reimagine it into a cohesive space that blended craftsmanship, comfort, and character.
The Design Process
Through detailed space planning and value engineering, we delivered a high-end design that balanced cost and quality without compromise. The garage entry was repositioned to improve the flow into the kitchen. In contrast, the floor transition between the dining and kitchen areas was smoothed to create a clean, uninterrupted visual line.
Custom light green cabinets introduced a vibrant, retro-inspired charm — achieved through semi-custom fabrication that allowed for staying within budget while still providing the tailored storage the client desired. The countertops, initially planned in terrazzo, were replaced with a stunning quartz surface that offered both beauty and durability.
To tie it all together, we curated unique lighting fixtures sourced from the Dallas Design District, installed energy-efficient LED recessed lighting, and selected a soft cream interior paint throughout the home to brighten every corner and create continuity.
The Results
The transformation led to:
- Semi-custom light green cabinetry with clever storage solutions
